Electrolytic cells – the advantages

e-chlorite electrolytic cells use electricity to convert brine water to a safe dilute sodium hypochlorite solution. This process takes place on-site entirely within the electrolytic cell at typically one-third to a half of the cost of purchased hypochlorite.

Besides lower cost and hypochlorite production on-site e-chlorite offers other advantages. Hypochlorite prepared through electrolysis does not contain free alkali and therefore is more reactive than commercial hypochlorite which is buffered with caustic. No more high costs for transport, storage and handling of chlorine gas or high concentrate commercial bleach.

Extremely efficient e-chlorite electrolytic cells use low voltage DC power supplied from a rectifier and are designed for operation in a wide range of environments and conditions.

Revolutionary sensor technology

Clear Water Solutions recently developed a sensor based on solid state techniques to measure selective ions like free chlorine, potassium, sodium, magnesium, nitrates, calcium. With a very small measuring device (only 2 square millimetres) the ions can be measured.
